In this week’s episode of Unapologetic Introverts, titled “A Clucking Mess,” we dive into the whimsical world of word association. Aaron and I start with our usual catch-up, where I share my progress in the Throne of Glass series (I just finished Heir of Fire—what a ride!). We also discuss the relief of cooler weather, a quirky new word of the day courtesy of Jade’s mom, and our increasing interactions on Spotify. Our Daylists are back, and we tackle a strange phenomenon that had us both scratching our heads.
For the main segment, we play a hilarious game of word association. Each of us takes turns responding to random words, leading to unexpected and amusing connections. We also attempt the 1-2-3 word game, where we try to match words in ten steps or fewer. It’s a fun challenge that showcases just how different our thought processes can be! As a side note, we also chat about those words that feel strange or lose their meaning when repeated too often.
In the spirit of sharing, we encourage you to send us your favourite words or games. We love hearing from you and experimenting with new ideas on the podcast. And, as always, we wrap up with our givebacks: Aaron’s pick is “Spite” by Charlotte Sands, while I recommend “Space Ghost Coast to Coast” by Glass Animals.
Thank you for joining us for another episode filled with laughter and randomness.
